milotic has joined your team
i've been replaying pokémon emerald. i needed a water-type, and decided to try for milotic.
i'm writing this guide because most other feebas evolution tutorials only suggest pamtre or cornn berries, and assume you have beaten the game and have access to the battle frontier. i wanted to see if all that was necessary (it is not).
- catch a feebas, specifically one with a modest, mild, rash, or quiet nature. don't bother with anything else.
- go to route 115 and pick all six kelpsey and all six bluk berries.
- go to lilycove contest hall and use the blender with the old man. save your game before attempting, in case you fuck up somehow.
- do your best at the blending minigame, blending at least six kelpsey and six bluk. none of my indigo pokéblocks exceeded level 20 or 23 feel.
- feed all the pokéblocks to your feebas. try giving it a rare candy. if it doesn't evolve, make a few more pokéblocks with other blue/indigo berries (oran, chesto, lum, wepear, wiki, hondew, cornn, pamtre) and level it up again.
if your feebas won't evolve and won't eat any more pokéblocks, reset. otherwise...
someone has likely documented this already, but i didn't find any guides that used shittier berries, so i figure it might be worth sharing.
